About AWSS
Adams Wells Special Services Cooperative is a cooperative formed by five school districts in Adams and Wells counties to provide services to students with disabilities. The cooperative, in response to the Individuals with Disabilities act (IDEA) and Indiana's Article 7 offers comprehensive program for students aged three through twenty-two. Most of the programs are provided to the students in their neighborhood school.
It is the philosophy of AWSSC to provide each student with their needed services in the least restrictive environment while offering a full continuum of services as required by law. Program options as determined by the case conference committee, could include consultation, collaboration (team teaching), traditional pullout or alternative settings.
