ParentSquare

What is ParentSquare and how does it work?

As of the 2022-2023 school year, Bluffton-Harrison MSD will be using ParentSquare for school communication, primarily with email, text and app notifications. ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number listed on PowerSchool. We encourage parents to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified.

How is BHMSD using ParentSquare's features to reach students and parents?

  • Receive messages from the school via email, text or app notification.
  • Choose to receive information as it comes or all at once with a daily digest at 6 p.m.
  • Communicate in your preferred language.
  • Direct message teachers.
  • Receive calendar notices.
  • Receive forms and permission slips.

Who is using the communications platform?

BHMSD teachers, administrators, secretaries, club sponsors and coaches are all consolidating their communications into ParentSquare. Students at Bluffton-Harrison Middle School and Bluffton High School also have access to the companion program called StudentSquare to receive the same communications.

Why is it important for parents to register for ParentSquare?

As of 2023, all district-wide mass communications will only be sent through ParentSquare. Don't miss important information from your student's classrooms, school offices and extracurricular activities.
